Voter Registration and Education Updates

Thanks to a second grant this year from the LWVUS Education Fund we were able to work with Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College and Lake Superior College on registering voters and producing videos on voter registration and education. You can view them here:

Here is what LWV Duluth has done in voter services this election season:
Voter Registration
- 64 events, including staff training for the Duluth YWCA &. SOAR/Goodwill 
- 193 volunteer slots filled by 88 different members, for 582 volunteer hours  
- Sharing voting information and being a public presence to over 40000 people  
- Registering 960 voters;  315 of those from area colleges 
- Worked with LWVDouglas County to share WI and MN voting information  
- Worked with the Secretary of State's office fora  youth event on National Voter Registration Day
- 2 of our Youth Civic Engagement Fellows were featured in the streamed event 
- Worked with the Attorney General's office for Clean the Slate events at Damiano 
- Provided voting information at the Naturalization event in St. Louis County 
- Voter information posters distributed around community by our Youth Civic Engagement Fellows  --- All government classes at East and Denfeld given voter registration presentations by our Youth Civic Engagement Fellows
