League of Women Voters of Duluth, a nonpartisan and non-profit organization, strengthens our community by promoting voter registration, conducting candidate forums, influencing public policy through education and advocacy, observing public meetings of civic concern, providing leadership opportunities through volunteer service, and studying issues of local, state, and national importance.
LWVUS and LWVMN play an integral role in supporting LWV Duluth and also lobby on positions on behalf of the League at the State and National levels. Only 9% of dues stays in our local organization. LWV Duluth has no paid staff, and we rely on fundraising, grants and donations to support our local efforts.
