We are hosting a moderator training led by Laura Helmer, the Voter Service and Citizen Education Chair from the MN League Board. She will conduct a training from 4:30-7:30 on Wed, June 6. We are hosting it at the Building for Women. So far we have 15 people signed up. We still have a few more spots available.
This workshop is for members who want to serve as moderators for our candidate forums and trained moderators who want to refresh their skills.
There will be specific training by Laura Helmer on being a question facilitator from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. A question facilitator writes and screens questions for forums. Anyone who would like to learn how to screen questions can come for this portion of the moderator workshop. Everyone at the training will take part in this portion of the training. However, people who are not interested in becoming a moderator, but would like to help with questions or become more skilled at it, are welcome to attend this specific training on being a question facilitator.
