Program
Specialty Treatment Courts

Speaker: Honorable Sally Tarnowski
The topic for the Equali-TEA this year will be specialty Treatment Courts.  Treatment Courts offer an alternative approach to traditional incarceration by establishing a treatment program and support system for an offender.  Upon successful completion of a treatment program, the offender is able to earn reductions in jail time.  According to the MN Judicial Branch, research shows that Treatment Courts have proven more effective than traditional court strategies at reducing repeat offenses.  Attend the Equali-Tea on Saturday, March 18, to hear the Hon. Sally Tarnowski speak on this important topic.
