Following every census, Congressional seats are subject to change based on population. This will be happening in Minnesota next year and will impact our House and Senate Congressional districts as well as some local councils, commissions, and boards. It will affect all Minnesotans.
The mission of People Powered Fair Maps is to make sure that every vote counts, and every voice is heard. This year Citizens in Action is focusing on educating and empowering our sponsors, partners, and LWV members regarding redistricting, gerrymandering, and the process by which districts are drawn. And most importantly, what you and your organization can do to empower voters and prevent prevent gerrymandering.
